About the program

Welcome from the residents, faculty and staff of the Mercy Health System Family Medicine Residency Program in Janesville, Wisconsin. We are delighted that you are considering our program for your training in this exciting specialty.

Our residency is a community-based, unopposed program located in a small city that allows us to take advantage of the best aspects of rural and suburban practice.

Our goal is to train residents to be competent family physicians. We will help you acquire the knowledge, experience and community savvy you need to become a valuable resource to patients wherever you choose to practice. We do this in a supportive environment that is focused on one thing; your success.

Our track record speaks for itself. Every graduate of our program has passed the family practice boards. These graduates are successfully practicing in communities of their choice—rural, urban, suburban and military/public health—across the nation.
